Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big difference! My cat was on another hairball control formula, and it seemed to be working just fine. My vet recommended Pro Plan, though, so I thought I would try it. After just a couple of weeks it was more than obvious how great it was working! My cat had softer, shinier, thicker hair and not a single hairball. He seemed to trim down a little, too, and even his eyes looked brighter. My dad even commented, and he doesn't even acknowledge my cat's existance. Plus, he absolutely loves the taste. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from New packaging smaller package Used hairball management cat food for 7 yrs.  it used to be 8lb bag. Now it's 7lb bag and it costs more.  Pay more for less. It gets expensive with 3 cats.   I have pet perks  but even with that price it's expensive.  I don't want to switch but the price may force me.  My opinion customers are paying for the new packaging.  Why change it when it's been the same packaging for long time.  Then u cut back on the weight but not on the price.   Not right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I just posted this on Amazon and wanted to do so here as well.  I have three cats. A few months ago I started them on Proplan and they love it. Before switching I did a lot of looking into. I had them on Iams. They liked it but prefer Proplan. Proplan is meatier.  I called Iams who said their carb content was over 30%. Wow! My cats didn't need all of that. They weren't working out at the gym. Iams protein was around 30%. Seemed high until I saw Proplan's protein which is 40%. Proplan's carbs are around 23%. Much lower than Iams. While transitioning I noticed the Iams kibbles were so much drier looking than Proplan. The first ingredient in Proplan is chicken. They do use so called by products but when I checked with them those by products are chicken organ meats. HEALTHY organ meats like people would eat. NOT bones and carcasses as some people would claim. Iams puts chicken broth (not always listed) in even their tuna flavored dry food. Proplan uses water. What cat wants chicken flavored tuna? I don't know about hairball control yet but if they keep having hairball problems I can just give them hairball treats. So far Proplan wins paws down!! One other thing. I have a 1 year old male kitten. He didn't eat enough before his neutering recently. He's not grossly skinny. He just needs buffing up. I told him little girl kitties won't want to date him if he looks more like Olive Oyle than Popeye. :) I fully trust Proplan's food to provide the nutrition to help him as well as his sisters. After all, he needs his energy to be an ornery little brother and pounce on his sisters!  =^..^=

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this diet! I have three cats, two shorthair and one medium hair. The one with medium hair length is also a bit picky when it comes to food. I mix two foods, just to keep it interesting for all the kitties(and to get some kitten food into my youngest right now). I used to switch up the types of hairball control food I used to keep my picky cat's interest. I was mixing it with grain-free food at the time to cut back on carbs and increase the overall protein since a lot of hairball foods have a little lower protein. I was using the Iams hairball control and found out part way through the bag that my picky cat wasn't eating the hairball control food hardly at all, which explained why she'd been getting more hairballs. I decided to try ProPlan (after recently hearing about the brand), and all three of my cats love the hairball management from ProPlan. My medium haired cat hasn't had a hairball since she's been on the ProPlan. I might try mixing it with the Finesse line or the Savor line of ProPlan to still keep the picky one interested.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glover please resend reply. Couldn't open ur reply. Please resend. I had min schnauzers on pro plan for 20+yrs and cats on pro plan for 8yrs.  Prices go up often. Even with pet perks it's expensive for 3 cats.  My long hair Siamese has sensitive stomach so this brand us the best for her. As u can see I'm a long time customer. Thank you.

    FEEDING FOR ADULT MAINTENANCE
It is important that you feed Pro Plan to your adult cat "free choice" throughout the day, rather than as just a single feeding only at mealtime. Food intake required to maintain ideal body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Watch your cat's weight and adjust food amounts accordingly. If you have a kitten, or a pregnant or nursing cat, you should continue feeding Pro Plan Kitten Chicken & Rice Formula.
MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN
Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your cat, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your cat's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.
Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily.
For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly.
