She is 86 pds and just turned 6 mths oct 8th. Remember always fresh clean water. and lots of excercise, especially working breeds. German Rotties ROCK!!!!!! I always reccomend this high quality kibble. Purina Lamb and Rice for puppies. #1 ingredient is lamb that comes in soft chunks along with tasty healthy hard kibble, good for cleaning tarter. My Sadie-Girl loves PURINA LAMB AND RICE!!!!!!!!!!Date published: 2014-10-12Rated 5 out of 5 by JMB09 from Will only feed pro plan I recently adopted a puppy and I was feeding him Hills Ideal Balance. The puppy was very itchy and his stool was often slightly loose (but not quite diarrhea). I have fed my cat pro plan for years, so I made the switch. I could tell from the start that the food was higher quality just in look and feel. His skin cleared up within a week and his stool was smaller, more solid and he pooped less. I will never feed my pets anything but pro plan ever again.Date published: 2014-04-18Rated 5 out of 5 by alj2013 from great puppy food I bought this food for our new English bulldog puppy and he is having no problems switching from hiss old food to his new one.Date published: 2014-03-17Rated 5 out of 5 by gsd4us from exellent food for puppy and adult dog. all of my life i had a dogs . and all of my dogs been eating pro plan puppy food to adult food . easy to digest, solid stool . shiney coat, strong teeth and bone. can't complain . i wont feed anything but pro plan... my dog loves the food . he start it out with puppy focus... we have gsd.Date published: 2014-03-15Rated 5 out of 5 by CMW5060 from Great Results My Westie was on Pro Plan with the breeder. I tried switching her to Blue Buffalo but she kept getting sick. Put her back on Pro Plan and specifically the lamb and rice. She loves it and is doing fantastic!Date published: 2014-02-12Rated 5 out of 5 by rachael15 from So far so good! My 7 mo Australian Shepherd was on Blue when we got him, and then we switched to Nutro Ultra puppy food. Blue gave him diarrhea, and it didn't seem like the Nutro Ultra was appealing to him...he never wanted to eat, so he was losing a lot of weight. I put him on this a couple days ago and he LOVES it. I'm excited to see how it turns out!Date published: 2014-01-08Rated 5 out of 5 by lmitchell628 from Love This Food!! I have a 3 month old Alaskan Malamute, the breeder suggested that we use Taste of the Wild. She loved that food but it upset her stomach and had diarrhea for a month. We recently switched over to Pro Plan and she loves and hasn't had any diarrhea since. Her brothers were also eating Taste of the Wild and made them sick so they also switched over to Purina and are doing much better! I highly recommend this food for a dog with a sensitive stomach!!Date published: 2013-10-15Rated 5 out of 5 by MisterBigDave3 from So Far So Good Short and sweet... I recently adopted a 4 month old beagle pup. She was on Purina Puppy Chow which I really don't care for, I consider it basically a corn-chow food. Anyway, I switched her to Purina Pro Plan Lamb and Rice and after a week now I feel she is doing very well on it, is more content, sleeping the night and calmer. We've had six dogs all from puppies so we're not new to all this. That said, I would never reccomend Purina Puppy Chow, but Pro Plan yes.Date published: 2013-09-01

Keep moistened Pro Plan available at all times. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6-8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don't misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn't overeat and stays in ideal body condition.Nestlé Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of your puppy’s daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program.FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTIONPro Plan provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's ideal body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLANAlthough you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you're feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets.Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.
